We started SeniorSecretary because we lived the problem. Sitting on hold for 40 minutes to reschedule our mom's appointment — during a work meeting — was the last straw.
In 2024, our co-founder spent 6 hours in a single week making phone calls for his 78-year-old mother. Not visiting her. Not having dinner with her. Making phone calls about her — to doctors, pharmacies, and insurance companies who apparently only operate during the exact hours he was supposed to be working.
The breaking point? Getting put on hold for 45 minutes by Medicare, only to be transferred to the wrong department, only to be told to call back tomorrow. For a routine coverage question.
Meanwhile, AI could already have natural phone conversations. The technology existed — but nobody was applying it to the most obvious use case: the 53 million Americans drowning in care coordination for their aging parents.
So we built SeniorSecretary.
Not another app for seniors to learn. Not another dashboard for overworked caregivers to manage. A genuinely helpful AI that makes the calls, waits on hold, handles the logistics, and sends you a summary. Like a really good secretary — except it costs $99/month and works 24/7.
